AI-Ready Signage, Sustainable Design & Intelligent Software Innovations
April 16th, 2025
Philips Professional Display Solutions (PPDS) used ISE to showcase a range of LED innovations with AI and sustainability central to their product launches. As a Platinum Partner Cinos are working with PPDS on several upcoming projects so we met with Ellie East to explore the latest developments on show.

Philips Unite LED 6000 Series All-In-One
Drawing significant attention on stand was the award-winning Philips Unite LED 6000 Series All-In-One, first unveiled at InfoComm last year, and winner of the AV News ‘Digital Signage Innovation of the Year Award’ at this year’s ISE.

Designed to remove many of the traditional barriers associated with large format dvLED, the 135” display places accessibility and ease of installation at the forefront. Its smart foldable structure allows the screen to pass through standard doorways and lifts with ease, while an integrated motorised trolley enables smooth height adjustment at the touch of a button; ideal for lecture theatres, auditoriums and dynamic corporate environments where sightlines matter.
At its core, the Unite LED 6000 Series combines fine 1.5mm pixel pitch with advanced Chip-on-Board (COB) technology, delivering sharp detail, strong contrast and uniform brightness for everything from high-impact video to detailed presentations. Audio, cabling and control are integrated into a simplified, one-box design, streamlining deployment and reducing on-site complexity, while its ultra-low standby mode consumes less than 0.5 watts to ensure genuine power-down when not in use.
For Cinos, the Unite LED 6000 Series represents a practical evolution in all-in-one dvLED. With an extensive track record of delivering large-format displays in challenging environments, the 6000 Series offers the perfect balance between performance and ease of deployment and represents a strong addition to the portfolio for large-scale collaborative environments.
AI-Ready Signage: Philips 5000 & 2000 Series
AI was a dominant theme at ISE and for PPDS this was no exception. Across the stand its digital signage portfolio was presented as AI-ready by design, powered by an upgraded Android SoC platform with integrated neural processing capability. This built-in intelligence is designed to support the growing demand for data-driven, adaptive content; from interactive and personalised retail experiences through to dynamic menu boards in quick service environments that can adjust messaging based on factors such as time of day, the latest promotions, or local events. Crucially, this processing power sits within the display itself, enabling smoother performance for AI-led applications without adding external complexity.
Two ranges that clearly embodied this direction were the Philips Signage 5000 and 2000 Series. The 5000 Series, available from 32 to 98 inches and suitable for both portrait and landscape installation, is positioned for more performance-led environments requiring higher brightness and 24/7 reliability. The 2000 Series offers a cost-effective UHD alternative in 43 to 65 inch sizes, delivering dependable 16/7 operation with a clean, modern aesthetic. Both ranges enable native and web app installation directly onto the display, eliminating the need for external media players and simplifying deployment.
Philips Signage 3650 EcoDesign & Tableaux ePaper Ranges
Sustainability also remained a clear theme across the stand, with PPDS highlighting established solutions designed to reduce environmental impact without sacrificing performance. The Philips Signage 3650 EcoDesign, the first digital signage display to achieve EPEAT Climate+ Gold certification, was on show demonstrating how it delivers 4K UHD resolution while operating on less than half the power of comparable models. Built using PPDS’ EcoDesign methodology, it combines energy-efficient operation with 100% recycled and recyclable packaging.
Alongside this, the Philips Tableaux ePaper range continues to redefine low-energy signage. Using advanced ePaper technology, Tableaux displays require zero power to show static content and only minimal energy when updating an image, making them ideal for retail, hospitality and public environments seeking to digitise paper-based signage efficiently and sustainably. Capable of presenting rich colour content without a constant power draw, Tableaux offers a practical route to sustainable, easily updateable digital communication where traditional displays may be less viable.
Philips LED Configurator and Wave Remote Management Platform
Away from displays, PPDS’ software innovations drew significant attention on stand, particularly the newly launched LED Configurator, which our team consider a key tool for future projects. Designed to remove complexity from what is often a highly customised dvLED process, the platform enables our teams to quickly design, visualise and specify complete LED solutions. By including key components such as cables, brackets, controllers, and mounts from leading manufacturers, the configurator provides a comprehensive end-to-end view of each solution, eliminating compatibility concerns and helping streamline projects from initial concept through to installation.
Philips Wave also demonstrated how remote management continues to evolve. The secure, cloud-based platform enables centralised deployment, configuration and monitoring of Android SoC displays across client estates. Recent enhancements showcased at ISE include advanced configuration cloning for rapid rollouts, firmware and app scheduling, enhanced power management tools and real-time alert notifications. For our customers using PPDS solutions, Wave represents a scalable, secure framework for proactive display management, delivering both sustainability and long-term service value.
| A visit to the PPDS stand highlighted why they remain a key partner for Cinos. Intelligent, sustainable, and easy-to-deploy solutions are exactly what our clients and installation teams value, and we are excited to continue delivering future-ready displays that make a tangible impact across corporate, public, and high-traffic spaces. |
